How do you make non-breaking Ellipsis in text?

I want to keep . . . (ellipse) from being folded around to the next line. How do I keep it together on one line?

Ellipsis is supposed to be a single character. The easiest way to insert one is through menu InsertSpecial characters.... From the top right drop-down menu (subset), choose General punctuation, then click on the ellipsis (U+2026) and OK.

Depending on your keyboard driver (but this is not a LO issue, it is an OS feature), you can also type it directly through a combination of Ctrl, Alt, maybe Shift and another key.

If you type an ellipsis as a run of 3 dots, LO is perfectly legitimate to break a line after any dot.

If your question is about keeping the ellipsis with the previous word, either type it next to this word (without space in-between) or use a non-breaking space U+00A0 between the word and the ellipsis.
