Every time I open a file in spreadsheet, it takes me back to home directory.
Can I tell spreadsheet to remember where I was and open that directory ?
Menu/Tools/Option/LibreOffice/Paths - My Documents.

The OP asked how to tell LO to “remember where I was and open that directory”, in other words, make File->Open open the current working directory (or possibly the directory the current document is in). Not a fixed path which is the same for every document and all time, which is what Options->LibreOffice->Paths->My Documents setting is.
IMO this is not possible, and is a bug. File->Open should open either the CWD or the directory containing the currently-viewed file
I don’t know about your system of if you are using system file explorer or the LibreOffice inner, but for me with Win10, on both it goes to the last folder open.
