Have you a problem with file locking using LibO on a Windows system? As the answer stated, the SOFFICE script file is typically located on a Windows system at C:\Program files (x86)\LibreOffice 4.x\program. You should use your standard text editor to look at if if you need to. I use notepad on my Linux Mint system if I need to look at the file.
You must still be having problems since the post is moved up.
On the left is my file manager and the actual name of the file you want is soffice in the location already mentioned - C:\Program files (x86)\LibreOffice 5.1\program. Open that file with any text editor - again such as notepad. I opened the file twice to show a before and after. The line you are looking for is about 25 lines down. Change:
export SAL_ENABLE_FILE_LOCKING to # export SAL_ENABLE_FILE_LOCKING and save the file. That’s it. The # comments out the line so it is ineffective.
how about on a mac? my version of the soffice file is in mach-o, and I’m not sure how to find the right line let alone comment it out
