I have a sheet that adds data from numerous cells on several different sheets. Recently I had a #value error and had to go sheet by sheet and cell by cell to find the error (a seemingly empty cell that actually contained a space). Tools/Detective/Trace Errors seemingly doesn't work across multiple sheets. Any hints? Between home and office I'm working with L.O. Linux, 3.5.6 Win7, and 3.6.3 Win XP.

@Edward - You touched a very interesting topic: The Detective doesn't work across sheets even if they are in the same book.

tI would be very good if you file an enhancement request which adds a functionality across sheets, and maybe even across books. To the best of my knowledge this would be a feature MS Excel does not have.

But first follow qubit's advice and get rid of your problem.

May I ask to place a link to the enhancement request here?

Hi @Edward,

I'm not familiar with the 'Trace Errors' feature, but if you think that it should work across sheets, please file a bug.

Actually, please first test against the latest release, and if that doesn't seem to fix this problem, then please file a bug :-)

Please provide a list of steps that can reproduce your problem. The QA team will be happy to help you track down this issue!

Please post a link to any bugs you file in a comment below using the format "fdo#123456".
