I have tried to add a border to a text document. I see it and save it and when I reopen the document the border is missing. Any ideas? Thanks!
Not sure, but some formatting can only be saved using the .odt file format.

If the border is set in a page style, it probably gets lost in conversion to the MS Office format.

Text (.txt) document have text only. Borders cannot be saved to it. You should get a warning message about this.
There was no warning message about not being able to save the doc. Actually, when I viewed the doc in the saved desktop file I could see the border was there. Once I actually opened the doc, the border disappeared.
