I was messing around (learning) the styles and formatting. Somehow, I changed the default paper color to purple. Going in and modifying the default or creating a new default is not working. When I manage to change the background, the page within the edges is white, but the purple is all around like a border, but it’s not a border. I seam to have really done a number on myself here.
Note: when I print, it does not print out purple; it prints out white.

Check under Tools, Options, LibreOffice, Application Colors.
I think you need to change Document background or Application background.
