Every line of a new paragraph pops up with an automatic capital letter. How do I get rid of this and begin lines with no caps? I write poetry and don’t use caps.

Menu Tools → AutoCorrect Options... and select Options tab. Uncheck Capitalize first letter of every sentence (both boxes).
In this dialog, you can customise many behavioural aspects of LO to your preferred way of using the application. The Localized Options may also contain items of interest specific to your language.
