When I copy a column of email addresses and paste into Hotmail address bar it appears as text, not email addresses. Is there a way of doing this, or should there be?
First: an e-mail address will appear as text in the address bar of any mail application. There’s no need to turn it into a link there.
Second: when I paste such a list in the address bar of Thunderbird, it puts them on a single line, separated by commas. So, yes, apparently it can be done. Question is: can the hotmail app do it?
Third: of course LibreOffice cannot influence how other applications will handle data copied from Libre to the clipboard. It’s up to those applications to make the best of whatever they grab from the clipboard. So, you can message Microsoft and ask them to improve the paste function in the hotmail app so that it pastes lists of mail addresses copied from Libre or perhaps Excel as a comma separated list of addresses, and who knows what they’ll do. In the mean time, use a mail client that can handle such paste actions.
