updating TOC is there a difference between windows and linux ?

I run LibO under Linux and Windows on 2 different PCs.

Linux:
Linux Mint 17.3 KDE Lib 5.0.3.2 from the official repository

Windows:
XP, LibO 5.1.3.2

In Windows I can right click on the TOC and select “update”
In Linux I can not right click and update, but have to update the TOC via Tools->Update->Update All or an icon I created.

Is this difference normal?
Is there a possibility to change the Linux version so I can update with a right click on the TOC? ( For this I do NOT want to work on the source code of LIbO.)

Thanks in advance for information.

Additional information:
Using the LInux based LibO version I cannot edit the TOC at all. In Windows version the right click menu offers the possibility to edit the TOC.

I am using Linux-Mint Mate 17.3, language EN-GB and 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3 all downloaded from site and installed manually. 5.1 and 5.2 share the same .config LibreOffice profile. I do not have any problem updating or editing the TOC. So, I would say, the difference is not normal. If you move documents between the systems, does the problem move? Are all documents with TOC affected?

Perhaps there is a .config problem? … Peter

Update=========
Originally, I used the supplied installed version of LibO, but now normally download the Base together with eng-GB language and offline-help features. I use the same download for my three systems. I normally “play” using GB, USA, French-French, Swiss-French and Swiss-German keyboards.

I install LibreOffice using the Libreoffice org website for example http://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ using the deb version and install following the instructions, using “sudo dpkg -i *.deb” in my case. The configuration is installed in the .config/libreoffice folder and shared for production versions, and .config/libreofficedev for prerelease. You must only have one version running at a time. This setup allows me to see if a problem is version related.

On my system, LibreOffice versions are installed in the /opt folder. Details will differ with KDE you are using, rather than Mint/Mate that I use. Are you doing anything different like saving in.doc or .docx rather than .odt?… Peter

Hi Peter - sorry for my late reply.

I have now 2 PCs installed with the same Linux Mint and LibO version.

I found a difference.

PC1 - no context menu to update TOC

PC2 - normal (like in Windows) context menu to update the TOC

On both PCs is LibO 5.0.3.2 eng-US installed.

LibO help says that context menus cannot be customized.

Do you have an idea on how to fix this problem?
.

Additional question: May I ask you on how you installed the LibO 5.1 and 5.2? I am still a bit of a newbie in LX
