Transferring auto corrects from Microsoft Word to LibreOffice Writer

Hi, hoping someone can help me! I am a medical transcriptionist and will be attempting to transition from using Microsoft Office to using LibreOffice, thereby replacing Microsoft Word with Writer.

I have literally thousands of templates that I have turned into auto-corrects in Word. Does anyone know if there is a way to easily transfer these auto-corrects to Writer, or will I have to manually enter them all over again?

I probably should clarify that I will be using the program in Windows 8.1. I attempted to convert everything over to Linux, but the programs I need to use for work are not compatible with Linux.

Thanks for your help!

I don’t know the answer to your problem but maybe this will help: [Solved] Templates from MS Word 2003 (View topic) • Apache OpenOffice Community Forum

I should add that if you don’t get the answer at this LibreOffice forum then it is often useful to post the same question into the OpenOffice forum. Even though LibreOffice is a little bit dissimilar to OpenOffice they do have a lot of overlap. The folks at OpenOffice forum seem quite happy to field questions from folks looking to solve a LibreOffice question.

However, If posting there in parallel, please place cross-links in both these posts. Its sensible netiquette.
