LibreOffice using dedicated video card and overheating notebook

The LibreOffice is using my dedicated video card NVidia Geforce GT540M and is increasing the temperature of my notebook.

I find it very strange and unnecessary, because I never saw office applications have to use the dedicated graphics card.

Word processor, spreadsheet, etc., do not require a dedicated card. It is different from what happens when we use Photoshop or AutoCAD, for example.

Remembering that I did not set up for this to happen, as LibreOffice is not set on the video board panel as an application that requires the dedicated video.

crossposting is rude especially without link

yes, but above is in Portuguese  I found it helpful, thx!

LibreOffice may be using the GPU of your graphics card for calculations and not just for the display interface. There are a few options you could check.

Under the menu Tools, Options.

Expand LibreOffice, look in the view option. Under graphics options are settings to control use of the GPU for display settings.

In the LibreOffice, OpenCL option, are options to allow use of OpenCL which also uses the GPU of your graphics card.

Under LibreOffice Calc, Formula, under Detailed Calculation Settings, Custom includes use of Open CL.

see comment in the question above

Sorry, I did not understand.

Now I deactivated the OpenCL and everything was resolved, sorry and thanks for help…
