Tried to open the database but it needs a JRE to run
downloaded jre from their website for windows 7
I have Opera as the browser and there is no place to activate JRE within it’s heading.
Get the message that JRE is corrupt or it can’t be found???

Based upon your question, it seems you may be a bit confused about JAVA. Although Opera has a Java plug-in, this is not what is needed for Base to operate. For Base you need JRE (Java Runtime Environment) for Windows. You get this from Oracle on this page - click here.
The latest version is toward the bottom of the post (8u112). Which one to install depends upon the LibreOffice version you have installed - 32-bit or 64-bit. Choose the x86 OFFLINE for 32-bit or x64 OFFLINE for the 64-bit version but it must match the LO type and not necessarily the operating system. If I recall correctly, when the download is complete, install with a double click on the downloaded .msi file. Once installed Base should work.
