How may I be able to change the transparency of the background image of image impress?

LibreOffice 5.1 Impress.

  • Open Impress
  • View > Slide Master
  • Insert > Image...
  • Sidebar > Properties > Graphic
  • Adjust Transparency
  • Close the Master with View > Normal

Libre Impress 6.x

  • Open impress
  • Open slide menu
  • For adding background image(you can do it from the sidebar or from the slide menu(set background image)
  • For managing transparency level- go to the slide menu->properties->transparency
