Calc Find & Find/Replace not working with quotation marks.

In Calc when trying to Find or Find/Replace quotation marks, I get a message that says “Search Key Not Found.” This happens when looking for either single or double quotes. This function does work in Writer, but not Calc. I’ve tried turning smart quotes on and off in OS X System Preferences, and replacing the single/double quotes with a different style in L.O. > AutoCorrect Options > Localized Options, but so far no luck.

Any ideas?

LibreOffice 5.2.3.3
OS X 10.11.6

Test copying the quotes from the text into the search box.

Copying and pasting the quotes into the Find/Replace box works, but the result is still “Search Key Not Found.” I zoomed way in on the quotes to make sure they look exactly like the ones I copied from the Calc cell, and they do. Straight, not curly.

Perhaps some of the options is changing the behavior for search. Does it work with other text search?

Yes, Find and Find/Replace are working well with other searches for words, letters, numbers and other characters. The error message only appears when trying to find single and double quotes.

Please try resetting the user profile, sometimes solves strange issues.

Usually it’s enough renaming/deleting the file “user/registrymodifications.xcu”, it affects all the options in Menu/Tools/Options, and the files “user/basic/dialog.xlc” and “scrip.xlc” are overwritten, additionally custom colors in “user/config/standard.soc” are lost.

I tried deleting user/registrymodifications.xcu first, and renaming the user profile second, but the exact same problem still persists whether I’m attempting to Find in Values, Formulas or Notes.
