Performance issues in Libre Office Draw

I have been trying to use LibreOffice Draw to create a booklet, but I am running into strange performance issues.

Whenever I set up a text zone and write or paste a fair amount of text in it (about 250 words or more), the software starts griding to a halt. It becomes slightly unresponsive and has a perceivable latency when I write or edit text in there.

If a look into windows resource manager, it whows the CPU (or at least the blue bar) peaking whenever I’m doing anything with the text (see image below).

I guess something must be going really wrong somewhere and I was wondering if anyone had ever heard of such an issue, and if it was related to LibreOffice or to something on my system ?

I don’t have any issues using Calc or Writer, as far as I can tell.

I’m running Version: 5.1.6.2
(Build ID: 07ac168c60a517dba0f0d7bc7540f5afa45f0909
Threads CPU : 4; Version de l’OS :Windows 6.2; UI Render : GL;
Locale : fr-FR (fr_FR); Calc: group)

Windows 10 Family (version 1607) 64bits, CPU : Intel Core i5 6500 @ 3.20Ghz, RAM : 8GB, GPU : Nvidia Geforce GTX 970

I had some success disabling antialiasing.

It may be under Preferences > LibreOffice > View, but it might be different in Windows.
