I can create the text box using the form controls tool bar. However there is no way to get text inside the box. I don’t have a blinking cursor. When I left click, green squares at borders of box and crosshairs inside. Right click and I get the toolbar “position size…”
Windows 7 64 bit.
Try a double-(left) click - it opens a ‘properties’ dialogue box with three tabs of settings. On the ‘General’ tab, there is a field for ‘Default text’.
Text boxes inserted from the form controls toolbar are meant for inputting text. If you want just a static text box, you can insert one from the drawing toolbar.
You may still be in the design mode. In the lower left corner of your screen there should be some buttons. One should be for design view. Click it to exit design view and you should be able to use your textbox.
