How do I create a header with book chapter verse

I am trying to create a header that shows a scripture type reference like:

St Matthew 24:10-25

Where 24 = the chapter and 10-25 = the verse that appear on that page.
I found and can get the chapter number to appear. I have created a outline numbering fore the verse but I am not able to figure out how to insert that into the header.

Are you trying to get the header to infer the Chapter and Verse #s from the context of the page?
