Figures outside page margins

I have a dovument with 100s of pictures/figures that are displaced in a 2 x 2 fashion per page. However, when I drag the pictures onto the document, they will fit the physical page limits rather than the document formatting margins. How can I get insert the pictures so that they will fit the document formatting margins?

"Right-click on the image and select Properties… You will get lots of resizing and placement options in there. " Too many I’ afraid to get my head around…

However, for the record, I found a way around it (http://www.linux-magazine.com/Online/Blogs/Off-the-Beat-Bruce-Byfield-s-Blog/The-mysteries-of-positioning-pictures-in-LibreOffice-OpenOffice).

1.I create a table and put images inside it.

2.Then I simply set the borders to invisible.

This workaround has been working well so far.

Right-click on the image and select Properties… You will get lots of resizing and placement options in there. (Remember the Help button for basic information on what the settings are.)

Also you might find the book Designing with LibreOffice useful for detailed instructions on dealing with images in documents. Look in the book for instructions regarding “Frames” and “Images”.
