Where did all my macros go in 3.5.7.2 Writer?

All my macros seem to have gone away after upgrading to 3.5.7.2 (from the most-recent prev. version). Templates path was also changed. Please make the macros come back and make libreoffice stop changing user defaults on upgrade. Please. kraml

I had a similar issue when updating from 3.5 to 3.6 on OS X, my templates and macros were apparently deleted and I never found them again (fortunately I had a backup).

Your OS?

Have a look at your → LibreOffice user profile:

file "Module1.xba"

path "%appdata%\LibreOffice\3\user\basic\Standard".

Or in that way:

Menu Tools → Macros → Organize Macros → LibreOffice Basic... →

My Macros → Standard → Module1 (→ button: Edit).

Thanks! Module1.xba exists, but it’s “empty.” Same results following the macro path from within Writer. I’m pretty certain now that the upgrade destroyed that file. kraml

So your customized ‘Module1.xba’ has been reset to the default ‘Module1.xba’. See also → fdo#52022. My suggestion (and my practice): create always a backup of your LibreOffice user profile before an upgrade.

Does anyone know where the macros went? Are they toast? Should I try to locate them in some directory?
