How can I copy/paste embedded graphics & pictures into a LO document?

Copy/pasteing embedded graphics and pictures from articles & documents is seamless with M$ Word.
I have been unable to determine how to do this with LibreOffice.
iMac & Mac Mini running latest versions of Mac OS and LibreOffice.
