How can I change a table template in Draw?

I inserted a table object into draw and chose a table template in the properties side bar. Now I would like to adjust some colours and fonts.

The online help says, that I could do that in the table menu. Unfortunately the menu does not exist in Draw.

I tried to identify the table templates in Writer, but they all seem to look different.

The “typical means” like context menus also do not offer an option to change the table template.

How can I change the table templates?

The table formatting is buggy. But try this: Set the cursor into a cell, then the table toolbar should be enabled. Its default position is at the bottom edge. If not, enable it via menu View > Toolbars. Customize the toolbar to show all of its buttons. Click on “Select whole table” button. Then click on “Table properties” button. In tab Borders set the desired borders. OK.

You will notice, that the table borders are not changed. Save and reload the document. Now the changes are visible.

For changing the filling, first select the row or column you want to change. But this will likely break the “banded” property of the table.

For to have full control of the styling of the table, you need to do the settings in file format.

There exist no way to customize the given templates, define an own template or save it.

Currently it is best to make a prototype of the often needed kind of table and save that document. Then copy&paste it from that document, if you need a table.
