I am working on a template that has numbered paragraphs. Is it possible to use hidden paragraphs and have the paragraph / outline numbers not count if it is hidden?
Use case: Imagine a document with 3 numbered paragraphs, but there are two versions of paragraph 2. One is always hidden. In my tests, the visible paragraphs end up numbered 1, 3, 4 or 1, 2, 4.
Anyone know if what I am attempting is possible? A workaround that is not too much of a kludge?
(I’m not opposed to kludges except they are hard to fix by a user if something goes wrong.
