Bug: Why was the reCaptcha security test to open this account only offered in Spanish?

I don’t speak Spanish, although I’d like to. Took me 45 minutes of clicking to open this account because I couldn’t understand what I was being asked. When I tried opening anther window to translate, it would generate a new challenge.

Just seems weird to have the entire page and help instruction in English but not the security question.

Below is another Spanish reCaptcha to submit this statement - the language selection is set to English.

This kind of thing seems to happen from time to time for this forum and certainly not only for your account. Personally I find it really easy to just guess what the captcha expects from just looking at the tiles on offer. If you don’t get it off the bat the first time just refresh the captcha and you’ll soon find one that it straightforwardly guessable.

There is also Google Translate (and similar sites) which is what I used.

I’ve had the same thing happen to me twice in the last week, each time in Spanish. Perhaps something has changed recently. ‘Montagne’ was easy enough, but figuring out that I was being asked about shop fronts or street numbers took a bit longer :slight_smile:
