I use LibreOffice 5.2.5. When I make a report using the wizard and choose “static report”, it opens in LibreOffice Writer. But this report is not saved in the database itself. This problem has only static reports. Dynamic reports are saved in a database successfully.
P.S. Previously, static reports are saved in the database. This problem has recently appeared. The program is not reinstalled.
I and my teacher found the cause of the problem. These are the symbols > and < in the title of the report. After saving with a different name, I renamed the report, and it opened successfully.
Just finished testing LO v5.2.3.3 & v 5.2.5.1 using Linux Mint 18. The tests included embedded, split (HSQL v2.x) & MySQL.
Had no problems creating & saving a static report with embedded & split using either LO version. Reports were present within the .odb. MySQL would not even generate a static report in either version.
