What is this gray sideways T and how do I get rid of it?

I pasted something from the web into my Writer document and then deleted it, but it left behind this sideways gray T:

sideways gray T

This page says “Ctrl+End Go to end of document”, but when I press Ctrl+End, it goes to this T first, as if it’s the end of the document.

I can’t right-click on it.

I can’t select text around it and then delete the entire block, the T stays there.

Hi @endolith,
did you ever figure out what this character/formatting mark was? My guess was that it was some kind of spacing or formatting, but I’m not really sure where to start to repro your experience!

@qubit1: Nope, it’s still annoying me. Some kind of page break or something.

@endolith – What version of LO are you using? (and what OS?) Any chance you can post your document somewhere so that we can poke at it?

That may be two adjacent sections.

You can check it via menu "View → Navigator (F5) → Sections".

Double click on “Section n”.

You can remove these sections via menu "Format → Sections".

Select “Section n”, click on button “Remove”.

That was it! Thanks!

Would it be possible to unzip the document and make corrections on xml?
