want to prepare a document with the information presented in a landscape orientation
After opening your new document, select with double-click page style Landscape (or equivalent translated term in your local language) in the Format → Styles & Formatting... panel (or F11). Page styles are accessed through the fourth (4th) icon from the left in the tool bar.
Note that a document can be made from pages in portrait or lanscape at will. Just insert a page break and change page style.
