How can I restore previous version of files ?

Greetings to all, When I right click on a Libre file, then right click on restore previous version. There is noting there. Can this be corrected ? Thank you. Ldxrunner

You haven’t stated which operating system you use, but I am guessing it is Windows. In Windows 7 if you right click on the file and select Restore previous versions a dialog opens with a link to How do I use previous versions? try clicking that link for more information.

Note this is a Windows function, not LO.

Inside LibreOffice there is an option to save versions with the file, in Menu/File/Versions…, available after at least save once.

Windows comes with the Restore previous files option set to OFF - you need to switch it ON before it starts saving files.

See Tools > Options > Load/Save > Save previous version …, which saves the “file when opened” as a .bak file in the Backup folder C:\Users\xxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\OpenOffice\4\user\backup. Just double click the .bak file to open it.

Can anyone advise how to recover previous auto recovered versions on Mac OS X? I was working on a document all morning, but when I came back to it, it had closed and only saved a version from 10 am. Where is the last version from 12 o’clock? (auto recovery was on for 10 min intervals).
Thanks.
