I am trying to have a column be for email addresses. Everytime I put one in I get it covered with gray. I just want it to be simple text.
An email address is a “linkable” item and thus treated like an URL. You surely have enabled the option
‘URL Recognition’ in ‘Tools’>‘AutoCorrect Options…’>‘Options’
