Writer - Show footer text in all pages except last page

I am using LobreOffice 5 writer. I would like to add a "Continued.." text in all footer pages except the last page. If the document contains only one page, the text should not be displayed.

I have tried using formula field, but it does not seem to have variable for current page. I am able to have a formula for total pages (Page), but not based on current page.

Any help would be highly appreciated

Hello rajesh-lo,

  1. place the caret inside the footer and select the menu option "Insert:Field:More Fields..."
  2. in the Dialog that pops up, select the tab "Document"
  3. in the listbox "Type", select the item "Page"
  4. in the listbox "Select", select the item "Next page"
  5. in the listbox "Format", select the item "Text"
  6. in the editfield "Value", type "Continued..."

HI @librebel my update was only formatting the list. I upvote your very good tip.
