Edit pages to remove excess line returns

I have pasted a document into Libre Writer that is 15 pages long. If it was printed out on the whole page width, it would be 10 pages or less. How do I remove the excess line returns?

Hi @joe6966, Do you want to remove all of the line returns in the document, or just some of them?

I don’t know how to remove the line returns. If I had a way to do that, I might be able to determine if all or some was appropriate. Is there a reformat feature where a narrow 15 page document can be changed to a wider (full page) document that uses less paper?

If your document is formatted narrowly enough, you could try putting the content in columns. Depending upon exactly how short your lines are, you may want to use Landscape instead of Portrait mode (Format -> Page -> Orientation).

It is just an idea, and I don’t know if it works.

Can @joe6966 make all line breaks visible: View / Non Printing Characters (this should work)
and then search for them an replace them with space or nothing?
