Is it the same graphic on all pages?
Hello Peter Styles, very nice idea such a book 
, one way to add the christmas themed graphic to your page is by setting a clipart image as background for the page ( eg. such or such ).
1) select the menu "Format:Page..."
2) select the tab called "Area"
3) in the listbox "Fill", select the item called "Bitmap"
4) click the button "Import Graphic..." and locate your christmas background image,
5) you probably need to set the Size to "Relative" and the Position to the upper left corner
To add a Text box inside the page , select the menu “Insert:Text Box” , and drag the cursor to the desired size of the box
