Mail Merge pulling wrong or old file/database

I do a lot of mail merge with letters and labels. Every time I work on a new mail merge it keeps pulling up old files. There is no way to clear the history or erase that memory. The latest issue is trying to create labels. In the dialog box, all the information is accurate, but when you merge it is pulling an old file.

I am having the same issue but I think with the new version the answer has changed. I went to Tools> there is no Options. Where can I find the database to delete from the files memory?

On Mac, it’s in Preferences->LibreOffice Base->Databases

If I’m reading you correctly, you’re talking about the databases displayed in the Exchange Database window. You can’t delete anything here, but you can from Tools > Options - LibreOffice Base - Databases.
However, it could be that you saved a file that had been merged as a template resulting with you thinking that you’re starting with a clean template with none of the fields replaced with values when, in fact, you’re not.
I find the entire mail merge thing very confusing indeed.

You are a GENIUS!!! Thank you so much! It was the Database. I went to Tools> Options LibreOffice Base and Databases. There was several calc files that I have used in the past that I deleted. I deleted all the files. Then I could not figure out how to get the correct file back into the labels dialog box. So I started a new mail merge and got to select address list. Once I did that I was able to choose the correct file from the labels dialog box and everything worked perfectly after that
