I want to create different shaped curves. I am trying to trace around scanned hand drawings. I am drawing patterns for clothes. Do I have to create a layer to do this.
Start DRAW and search Help with drawing curves for a full description of how to do it. Be sure to follow the other links on the Drawing Curves help page such as Converting 2D objects to curves.
By far the best way to create smooth curves with lots of control is to use a CAD package like the free DoubleCAD which can create both splines and Bezier curves.
