How to print multiple sets of data per page

I have two columns in LO Calc. They measure 3.75" left to right. The page is set to landscape. I would like to print more than one set of results on a page, but the page preview only shows one set with a whole lot of white space to the right of the data. If I print more than one page to a single page, I end up with the multiple pages, but they show tiny characters and a whole lot of wasted space. Unfortunately MS Excel does the same thing.

Am I the first to want to not waste paper?

How do I print using the entire page filled with data. Please don’t tell me to make the font bigger.

If you choose
FILE > Print > Page Layout
you can specify the number (1-16) of spreadsheet pages to be printed per physical sheet.
You may need to alter the logical page size to fit your data to remove the white space you currently have on the right side of the columns using
Styles and Formatting (PF11) > Page Styles > Default > right click Modify.

Have you tried to adjust margins and scaling in Page Preview mode (File > Page Preview)?

Click on the margins button and then drag the dotted lines to increase the space available for printing. If that is not enough, you can use the slider (between “margins” and “close preview” to adjust the scale so that both columns fit on one page.

No matter what scaling I use, I still end up with only one set of data per page (col A and col b) and a lot of blank space on the page.

I think what you have to is this (not really pretty but it works).

Import your spreadsheet into writer. You have to use the HTML import NOT the spreadsheet!!! In writer set up your page with 2 or 3 columns.

Thank you. That does work. Why can I not do this with calc?

Good question!! We should ask this a developer.

Is the colum width 3.75 inch per column?
What is the width of the paper between the left and right margin?

If each column is 3.75 inch and you use A4 paper settings you could just be beyond the width of the area within the margins.

The paper is standard 8.5" x 11" in either portrait or landscape. This allow more than enough room to print 2 or 3 columns, but only one column is printed per page.

Column A is .7" and Column B is 3.45" so the total is 4.15". Guess I was off by .4" in my estimate. Still should be more than enough room in either format.

Can make the spreadsheet public to have a look into it?

The way I got it:
FORMAT → PAGE → SHEET → SCALE

I’m translating the commands since my ersion of LibreOffice is in Brazilian Portuguese.
