I want to know if I can move a pivot table made on the Calc that uses a base to another computer without issues. The base uses a ODBC connection, if i have a connection with the same name, to the same tables on the other computer, will there be a problem if I just move the files to another computer or will I have to redo the work?
Whether you use ODBC, JDBC or SDBC to connect Base to your database should be of no concern. Each should produce the same results.
When creating a pivot table, you typically get data through Data Sources. The database items here are from Registered Base files. So, the real key is to have the same registered name on the new computer as the old. Can’t see any other obstacles.
