How to snap table borders to grid when resizing table column/row?

Hi, how can the edge of a table row/column be snapped to the grid when resizing them?

What I’d like is to be able to align all tables within a document to the same points to they look tidy, but I can’t find a way of doing this without having to zoom in as far as possible and align each table separately, which is a pain!

Cheers, Tim

The usual answer to this seems to be ‘use styles’ which as far as I can tell shows a miss-understanding of this question many times over. The problem here is that tables don’t use styles unlike their content.

Following on from my above comment, a bad solution is to right click on the table, select ‘Table …’, on the ‘Table’ tab, set a left margin and a fixed width. But, is there any way to set these in a style?

Hi @mrtimdog,

Perhaps the issue is that table formatting can’t be set in styles? (I haven’t investigated the matter myself, yet) If so, perhaps you could file a bug and request that this functionality be added.
