BASE - Form based on Query, are fields ONLY read-only?

Is it possible to edit data on a BASE form that is based on a query? My db is as follows: Company db, Contacts db, Notes db. Contacts and Notes are sub-forms of Company. When setting the form control to type: table, table name: company, everything works great. Changing that control to type: Query and then for example to a query based on country, I then get the correct companies found based on country as expected. However when displaying the results, I can only edit records in the related sub-forms. I can add a new contact or edit a note BUT I cannot edit or any data in the main Company db fields. I cannot edit the company name, address, country etc. All company fields are read-only. Is there any way to make it possible so I can edit Company fields on this form when using a query as a data source? Thanks in advance for any assistance!

BASE - Form based on Query, are fields ONLY read-only?

Is it possible BASE - I've reworded my original question. My problem is with forms based a queries. For example, a database with a form, based on two related tables: Companies and Contacts. If the form is set as TABLE the Company data and the subform Contacts data display correctly and all data can be edited. Now if I change the from from TABLE to edit data QUERY and base the query only on a BASE fields in the Company table, then the form that results display correctly and can be edited (along with the subform Contacts data). Now if the query is based on a query? My db is as follows: Company db, Contacts db, Notes db. Contacts and Notes are sub-forms of Company. When setting field, then the form control to type: table, table name: company, everything works great. Is there any way a solution to make it possible so I can edit Company fields on this form when using this? Attached is a query as a data source? sample db.
