Custom Style/Keyboard Shortcut in all documents

I figured out how to create a custom style in Writer. And, apparently, LibreOffice (v. 4.2/Win 7/English) automatically assigns a custom keyboard shortcut to that custom style for application of that custom style. However, I can't figure out how to make that custom style and custom keyboard shortcut available in all documents, not just the one in which I created the custom style/keyboard shortcut.

Is that possible, without modifying the "Default Style"?
