It would be handy if "print preview" would allow you to do a preview on just the highlighter/selected cells. Currently

2016-08-03 23:05:53 +0100 asked a question Macro to d/l remote files

Now that LibreOffice has a functional module for opening GoogleDoc (.gdoc) documents from Google Drive, is there a way it could be run as a macro or command-line function call, so that I could set up an automatic sync/backup of my .gdoc files locally? I've been using GoogleDocs for my writing (fiction) because I can just pick up and work on a story from whatever machine or tablet I'm on, and don't have to worry where the current revision is.
The problem is, I would prefer having a regularly scheduled backup of all my .gdoc files, rather than relying on the cloud as my only copy (or from boneheaded deletions). I know I can open individual documents and download them, but that means having to open each one and re-save it. And I also have to remember where I saved the most recent copy last.

I've tried using it to open documents from Google Drive, but regardless of whether I use my name with or without the "@gmail.com", I get a "general input/output error". I have never seen this function actually work. Of course, the other issue, if it ever works, will be to see if it can open "Google Docs" (the ones that don't exist as actual files on Google Drive), or are you limited to actual physical files (in which case the utility is not much use to me anyway).

2015-12-16 15:16:30 +0100 asked a question How do I enable scrollbar arrows in LO under Linux

The scrollbars in LibreOffice are missing the arrows at either end of the scroll. I have added the settings in ~/.config/gtk-2.0/gtkrc and ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css that shoudd theoretically enable them, but the scrollbars are still devoid of the necessary arrows.

I am presuming LibreOffice 5.0x is still running GTK2, since GTK3 apps seem to be correctly displaying scrollbar arrows.

Linux, English

Writer, Calc, presumably all other components
