2012-12-06 06:56:51 +0200 commented answer Conditionally change data range of a chart in CALC?

Mercy, Jean-Baptiste! - You have well understood my question. My misunderstanding was, that I tried to enter a formula into the range of the chart, when I should have pointed to a fixed region and change its content, I think, I would gladly see your examples! Again my thanks!

Addendum: For some srtange reason the feature has started to work without any change from my doing. Mouseware quirk, probably.

Mine is a Logitech LX3. I just checked the setpoint utility for this mouse, but this feature cannot be configured there. Without setpoint WinXP's mouse driver does not provide any funtionality for shifting the wheel. So I guess it's driver related. thank you both. Will look for another mousesoftware

Is there a way to make a chart inside a CALC sheet change the cell range that it displays, depending on a condition? It seems only ordinary cell ranges are allowed in the data range and series range input masks. There is a format checker in place.

2012-11-24 10:09:41 +0200 commented answer Bug? No repeat action on horizontal scroll with mouse wheel

I don't. My older Excel (2k) does repeat, and many other programs, too. Firefox is another example. the feature is actually quite helpful, while I can see no advantage in a single action. So, bug or no bug - might be good to change.

This is for CALC LibreOffice Version 3.6.3.2 (Build ID: 58f22d5) on Win32 XP SP3

When I try to scroll sideways using the mouse wheel (pressing it to the right or to the left), I can move one step, but then the scrolling stops, and I must release and re- press the wheel to continue scrolling.

2012-10-28 11:59:47 +0200 answered a question Calc: position measurements for cell-anchored jpgs

Yep, VBAS96's remarks are a consequence of what I was trying to say. My concern was more aimed at the measurements (i.e. I was expecting to adjust a picture's anchor point relative to a cell border (low left corner or whatever). I thought, that giving the same X/Y value to all my equally sized cell-anchored pictures, then locking their position, would yield nicely positioned graphics inside their cells, but even though they are cell anchored, they all have y-values that reflect the position on the page.) So, basically, I think, cell anchoring might not really work as expected, as far as positioning goes, even though MarioSV has outlined some difference in respect to deleting and resizing.

As a result, when some of the preceding other rows on the page change their heights, the graphics are no longer inside their cells (which is what VBAS96 is saying).

Many thanks for your input, to both of you!

2012-10-17 17:33:21 +0200 asked a question Calc: position measurements for cell-anchored jpgs

In trying to let some picures appear uniformily positioned each in their cell, I realised that the X and Y measurements for "position" are relative to the page and not as expected relative to the cell borders, even when the graphics are anchored to the cell. Seems strange to me. Is this as expected? A better way to do this?

2012-10-13 16:28:52 +0200 asked a question How can I control the appearance of hyperlinks in Calc?

I'd like to change the size proportion (width, height) of the buttons that represent hyperlinks in Calc. ("button" option used, not "text")

I would also like to change font, font color and font size for the text on the buttons if that can be done. Can anybody help, please?

Addendum: I should have mentioned that clicking the button's border or ALT+Click to select the button does not work for me.
