2017-02-07 20:13:53 +0200 asked a question Calc Conversion TEXT to DATE

I am retrieving data from an offsite system. I have no control over the formatting of the data.

I get a DATE, but it is formatted as TEXT. I just simply tried to change the format from TEXT to DATE (mm/dd/yyyy) and I end up with a single quote in from of the date in the cell. I could edit this out, but I have far too many retrieved files.

Is there a way to make the conversion from TEXT to DATE?

Thanks, Rich Ramik

Thank you so much for responding. I had completely forgotten about this posting.

As you suggested, it was Conditional Formatting. Not quite sure how I did it, but I now understand the results I am getting.

Thanks again!!!!

2016-07-30 01:56:21 +0200 asked a question MIN Function in calc

Used the MIN function to determine the lowest prices. In some of the rows, the lowest price cell color turns green. Yet in other cells it does not. I looked for "options" but couldn't find any. I have copied the working (green) MIN function to a line that was not working to no avail. Would appreciate any assistance.

Thanks, Rich Ramik

Having the same issue with established and newly created calc files saved as ".xlsx" format. Had this with 5.0.6 and then went to 5.1.2.2. Still the same.

Here it comes.....however, it works if I save the file with a ".xls" format.
