2013-02-10 03:48:36 +0200 asked a question libo 4.0.0.3 gets: no suitable windowing system found, exiting.

On Centos 5.9, i386, just installed 4.0.0.3 in place of a working 3.6.3.2. selecting writer from the "office" menu does nothing visible. running "libreoffice4.0 --writer" from a commandline results in: "no suitable windowing system found, exiting."

why would it say that? how does one solve this problem?

thanks!
