2019-06-19 04:59:28 +0200 marked best answer All my forms have become small

I have a database that I use occassionally. When I opened it today and tried to open a form, I got a message that the JRE was missing. I resolved that, and when I opened the form, everything (fonts, all the controls) was way smaller than it should be. I checked the other forms for the database, and this happens with all of them. Also, on some of them I have a macro which causes the form to go to a new record when opened, and now I am getting error messages that the script could not be found.

Any ideas about what happened, and how to fix it?

2019-03-13 21:57:47 +0200 marked best answer How to fix missing java problem in base

I just opened a database file that I had not opened for a few weeks, and got this message:

"The LibreOffice configuration has been changed. Under Tools - Options - LibreOffice - Advanced, select the Java runtime environment you want to have used by LibreOffice."

The path that's offered when I go to "Tools - Options - LibreOffice - Advanced" doesn't contain a Java runtime environment.

When I try to open any of the forms or reports, I get this message: The connection to the data source “DatabaseName” could not be established. No Java installation could be found. Please check your installation.

Writer is working okay. I use it all the time.

Here's my the info on my installation:

Version: 6.2.1.2
Build ID: libreoffice-6.2.1.2-snap1
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US

How do I fix this? Where can I find the lost JRE?

2019-02-05 16:16:21 +0200 marked best answer How to place a "grand total" on report

I have a report for an accounting database that shows detail for all transactions grouped by category. I have placed totals for the amounts in the group footer. That part works well. I'm stuck on how and where to place a "Grand total" at the end of the report. I want it to show only one time, at the end of the report.

edit: images of properties of the accumulation control, placed in the report footer:

Is there a way to set a default value for a field, either in table design or in the design of a form? I enter data for the table via a form. The input for the field I'd like to set a default value for is done via a list box on the form, as it is an integer field linked to a field in another table.
