2015-04-11 15:19:39 +0200 asked a question Why my "edit module" section in language setting does not work?

I am trying to select "English (UK)" as prefered language in "Edit Modules" option of writing aids option -

image description

But after selecting English (uK) this way, it again falls back to English (India). If I reopen the module I can see that it has automatically selected English (India) again.

What is wrong? I am using - Version: 4.3.3.2 Build ID: 430m0(Build:2) on Ubuntu 14.10.

2015-03-28 17:48:47 +0200 asked a question Can not set spell checking to UK English

There are two similar questions posted 1 and 2 which are not sufficient enough for solving my problem. I tried using solution suggested in the '2'nd link given above and then I encountered a new problem. In my case though everything else goes fine, I can not do the following thing -

sorry but I can not upload "english (uk)" in menu - tools - options - language settings - writing aids - Hunspell SpellChecker - edit - language english (UK). It is shown as "indian" like this -

image description

But when I make changes in the option (that is in options - language - selecting UK english (which shows abc in front of it) though this appears -

After doing this I click on close, nothing changes... the old problem persist and that problem is I can not have dictionary set to UK english. What to do?

2015-02-21 07:25:23 +0200 asked a question How can I move a section in hierarchy in LibreOffice Writer?

I have created a document with sections and subsections. Here is navigation pannel where we can see list of sections in the document.

Navigation pan

Now I want to change the sequence of the sections. How can do it? I have tried doing it in the document as well as in navigation pan. But I failed. When I select the whole section by shortcut key "ctr+a' and move it the place where I want it to be only text moves and not the section. If I create a new section from this text which I have moved it gets placed as subsection of the previous adjacent section. I tried to search for the solution in help section. there is no alternative suggested except this one - Help

I have found this answer to the same question but it is not a proper solution.

2013-09-13 15:44:42 +0200 commented question Spell check for English (India)

I have now successfully installed 4.1.1. But still it has no English (India) language option installed. I can see it in the list of directories - Tools > Options > Writing Aids > Available Language Modules > Hunspell spellchecker > edit > "no option for English (India)

And down under the same tab of writing aids under the heading user difined dictionaries if I try to add new one, in the list I can see English (India) as Option but it is not marked. In other words its of no use. it will not correct my spellings like English (Uk) or (US) can.

I have tried following method suggested by L-user -

you would like to have a LibreOffice v4.1 installed on Ubuntu you need to add PPA.

  1. Open Terminal with pressing CTRL+ALT+T.
  2. Copy bellow command and paste to terminal and press Enter to add libreoffice-4-1 PPA: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-4-1
  3. Then copy bellow command to update software to new version: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get -y dist-upgrade

but in spite of this, still my libreoffice v is 4.0....how can I upgrade it?
