MS PPT and LibreOffice incompatibility

I am required to use Powerpoint for my job. I currently have to:

1. use Windows on another laptop so the PPTs open and work properly;
2. use a VM, which does not guarantee that my webcam or speakers will work;
3. use Powerpoint Online, which is currently exiting full screen mode without notice. Repeatedly.

PPTs opened in LibreOffice do not work well: the animations do not work at all, and the text is often out of place. I don’t foresee MS making a GNU/Linux version of their Office suite anytime soon; are there any LibreOffice upgrades in mind that would allow me to play PPTs and have them work the way I need them to?
