yeah if your saving it in .doc format i found there were allot of problems with that format so i saved it as .odt format never had a problem since. also Albert very well said.
I am also facing the same issue freestanding fireplace. Now I am searching for the saved file in my c folder. I have tried certain methods to retrieve the lost file from Microsoft. But it is not working. Somebody, please share a solution to the above-shared problem.
I think your caps lock is stuck on. Apart from that I recommend you take regular backups, and use native formats (ODT in this case) to reduce the likelihood of data loss. It may also help if you provided greater detail about your exact problem. Screaming doesn’t help.

That said, these are some general guidelines to using ANY new program:
- Test the whole process of what you need the program for at some basic level to see if it fits your needs and provides desired output. This usually includes: creating some simple sample content, saving, opening again, printing/exporting/exporting to PDF.
- As Oweng said, make regular backups of your important work. Computers do fail at times. The reason often is software fault, but not always, these other cases include failing hard discs, power failure, accidental dropping, nearby nuclear explosion.
- As your work progresses and gets more complex check the 1. point again some time.
If a file gets lost it is most likely the users fault. I know this doesn’t sound very nice in your ears right now.
Two hints:
1 - Search for your file maybe even by using a recovery tool BEFORE you save new files and make lots of actions on your HDD. There might be a chance to recover your file
2 - I save my files always in native format of LibO and create other formats only thereafter when there is need.
You can use the version function of LibO or make it very simple like I do. I add the date into my filename and in VERY critical files event the time to make sure I always have backups.
Thus my files have the format:
filename_yymmdd.odt or for VERY critical files: filename_yymmdd_hhmm
This reduced the chance to loose a file close to zero especially as I make (almost) daily backups of my HDD.
BTW
LibO has a great functionality in recovering files. Make sure you have autosave enabled under
tools / options / load/save and set
the time to what you prefer.
you are right, you cannot delete the file from google drive, its all google’s fault 
if you want something keep track of everything and kept them all recoverable. Do something before creating a document, setup a sync and backup system.
Choosing Google Drive is another choice as the system behind - google’s preset solution do better than you can thinking of it. So Blame yourself.
Then in this case, LibreOffice shall do more than autosave, advocate a backup program - or bundle one.

That is why I never type in online google docs homework or important paper that needs to be submitted soon. That is kinda risky for me.
