Calc, File>Export as PDF

In Calc, File>Export as PDF>Range: Selection/Selected sheet
exports nothing (blank file) without a Selection.
Should it not export the current sheet (if that’s what ‘Selected sheet’ means)?

No empty cell was selected. The range is ‘Selected sheet’.The file is .ods.

Which version of the LO are you using?

Have you selected an empty cell?

Check the print range(s).

In LO 7.1.1.2 on Windows 10.0 Build 19042 I get expected behaviour of full range exported.

If I have a single cell selected, whether in the range or not in the range, then Calc exports to pdf the full data range. It seems to work even with non-contiguous ranges.

If I have two or more cells selected then only those selected cells will be exported, so if two blank cells are selected I will get a blank sheet.

Regardless, I would follow the advice of gabix and define the print range anyway.

Could it be something peculiar to a foreign file format? Is it .xls(x) or .ods?

AMENDED ANSWER

In v7.0.4.2 When selecting to print to PDF you need to select the file type to save to at the bottom right of the the selection dialogue box to PDF from the drop down otherwise it defaults to a different format.
