Different Footers?

In Writer, is there any way to have one footer for page 1, and a different footer for the rest of the document?

Yes you can do this. Go to
Styles & Formating > tab Page styles > First Page > right click and select Modify > tab footer
Set up your footer the way you need.
You also can do the same with the header.
Make sure that tab Organizer the Next Style is set to Default Style

Next
Styles & Formating > tab Page styles > Default Style > right click and select Modify > tab footer
Make sure that “Same content as first page” is unchecked.
Set up your footer the way you need.
You also can do the same with the header.

Place your cursor in your first page and double click on the style First Page.

I also recommend to download the free manual from http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/documentation/
and read about Styles and Formatting.
