I want to make single page documents from one huge document

I have a 24 page document and I want to save the pages individually into their own documents, how do I do that? Im using windows 8 and its on writer version 5.0.1

I am sure there is a more elegant way than the one I would use. I would put on the bottom status bar (VIEW > STATUS BAR). Then set the pages to SINGLE PAGE VIEW (bottom right on STATUS BAR). On my screen a ZOOM-LEVEL of about 34% will allow me to see a whole page and some. Then, starting with the last page I would select a page, copy it to a new document (FILE > NEW >TEXT DOCUMENT) and the PASTE and save the document as documentname-PAGE24. Change the name to match the pages. A simple but long winded approach.

If you have carefully made a backup of the complete document, you could CUT each page, starting at the bottom and thus avoid having to navigate through the document each time and the source would be the bottom page.

When you get to the LAST PAGE remember to save it with the new name to avoid overwriting the source file. Not elegant but simple…good luck Peter

Do you care about file format? It’s a bit tedious, but you can print single pages, and if you print to PDF you can create 24 single-page PDF files.

I don’t think LO has a native feature that allows you to do precisely what you want. You might try looking through the LO extensions pages (extensions.libreoffice.org) to see if something there will do the trick. I looked briefly but all I saw were a few extensions that allowed you to save to multiple formats simultaneously–not the same thing.
