All my documents are Libre Office

Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen, Sometime ago after I downloaded the latest version. I noticed that all my documents are Libre Office format. I have different word processing software for different uses. I would like to know why all my documents from another word processor are know in Libre Office format ? Thank you. Ldxrunner

Greetings to all, I have Windows 10 with 64–bit. I do not see defautl programs list in control panel. Thank you. Ldxrunner.

You’re probably referring to which program opens various formats by default. LO will take over most formats as a matter of course, unless you install via batch file with certain switches.

If that’s a problem you can right-click on the file you want to open elsewhere, select Open With…, then check “Make this the default program…”, then select the prog you want to use.

With MS Office, you can also do a Repair from Control Panel (if you’re in Windows), which will hit all MS formats at once.

If you’re a Windows user, you can go to Start menu - Control Panel - Default Programs - Set Your Default Programms. Then select LibreOffice and click on “Choose defaults for this program” and there you can select the file formats you wan’t LibreOffice to open. You can do the same with other programs.

Greetings to all, I have a Windows 10 64–bit pc. When I right click on a Libre file, then riight click on restore previous version, there is nothing there. Can this be corrected ? Thank you. Ldxrunner

“Restore previous versions” is something like a backup tool, you use it when something has been done to the file and you want to restore it. Previous versions come from restore points or Windows Backup. it means that for anything to have previous versions you must regularly create restore points or backups, but if you backup only one drive, only those files will have a copy, not the rest.

Also, this is not a LO question.
